Jan ”Flash” Nilsson has got a role in the sequel to the acclaimed Disney/Pixar movie Cars, opening on august the 5th.
”When I got the call that I was going to give my name to a character in a Disney movie, I was so proud that I got tears in my eyes. It feels amazing, everyone has got such a long relationship with Disney movies since childhood,” said ”Flash”.

Sweden is one of three countries in the world that has got a unique character for the movie and ”Flash” plays him self in the form of a blue and yellow car. The double STCC champion was recently in Sweden to record the voice for his character.
”I could not get a word out of my mouth when Flash McQueen roared in to picture and said ”Hi there Flash!”. I was so surprised to hear my own name in a Disney movie, so we had to do some re-takes,” said ”Flash” with a laugh.

”Flash” is fifth in the STCC after a dominating weekend at Mantorp Park three weeks ago. STCC continues at Gothenburg City Race Arena next weekend and ”Flash” hopes for more strong results, strengthened by his role in Cars 2.
”There are a lot of positive things in my life right now. I drove Mille Miglia with Prince Carl Philip in my dream car, I won a race and set fastest laps of both races at Mantorp and now I am going to be a part of Cars 2. I am surfing on a wave of confidence now and it is going to strengthen me for Gothenburg,” said ”Flash”.

Cars 2 is the 12th movie from Disney/Pixar that have produced successful movies such as Toy Story 3, Up, Wall-E, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. and more.

The director of Cars 2 is responsible Academy Award winner John Lasseter, who directed Cars 1, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, Ratatouille, Monsters Inc. The American cast is done by Owen Wilson, as Lightning McQueen (who also did the voice in Cars 1), Michael Caine (Finn McMissile) and Emily Mortimer (Holley Shift Well).
