Mattias Andersson is going to race in the TTA 2012 after signing a contract with Flash Engineering.
“I am really glad over the co-operation with Flash Engineering and I am really looking forward to drive in the TTA next season,” said Andersson.

Andersson is going to race alongside Jan “Flash” Nilsson in one of Flash Engineering’s four TTA cars.

“TTA is really stirring things up. After having being angry over Mattias for half of my life, I am finally going to co-operate with him. Jokes aside, Mattias is one of the quickest drivers out there and he showed that already in gokarts. We have got a really good relationship and it is going to be great fun to work with Mattias,” said “Flash”.

“Flash” and Andersson has raced for over 10 years against each other in different championships and TTA 2012 is going to mark the first time ever that they race together.

“Janne and I have known each other for a long time and it started in 1994 already when he borrowed me a race car for a season. We have since then been bitter competitors on the race track, but good friends on the side and it is going to be great fun racing together next year,” said Andersson.

Andersson is one of Sweden’s most experienced drivers with eleven STCC seasons behind him, several victories, runner-up of the 1988 Gokart Junior World Championship and international successes in Indy Lights, Barber Dodge and Renault Clio V6.

“I am starting my 22nd racing season next year, but there is no lack of motivation, rather the opposite. I believe strongly in the TTA concept and we have no doubt got a very exciting season ahead of us,” said Andersson.
