Turkington eight in premiere qualifying

Colin Turkington was fifth fastest in the first qualifying session but dropped to eight in the second qualifying session after having problems with the grip of the car.
”We made a lot of changes on the car from practice that instantly worked, the car was really fast. Unfortunately my times dropped dramatically in Q2, we need to look at the data and see what has happened,” said Turkington.

Jan ”Flash” Nilsson is going to start from tenth position on the grid in the race of tomorrow and the double STCC champion still suffered from the problems earlier today.
”We had understeer problems in the qualifying and that is because we missed so much time in the practice session when my power steering broke. But we will reload for tomorrow,” said ”Flash”.

The fastest time of Turkington from the first qualifying session would have been enough for sixth on the grid. But due to the problems, Turkington dropped almost 1.5 seconds in the second qualifying session.
”The grip window seem to be really narrow and I lost tons of time. But I am happy overall to have made it to Q2 and we have a strong car for the race,” said Turkington.
