Colin Turkington secures podium finish in Denmark

Colin Turkington secured second place in his second ever race for Flash Engineering in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship.
”I really enjoyed today. It was my goal to collect strong points from the first weekend and I must say it is a good start of the season,” said Turkington.

Turkington started second, lost one place in the start and started a hard fight with Mattias Andersson. Turkington managed to get past with about one third of the race left and started to close in on the leader.
”I dropped quite a bit in the start, then the car was really strong towards the end and I was able to get past Andersson. I really enjoyed my first race weekend in the STCC with Flash Engineering,” said Turkington.

Jan ”Flash” Nilsson managed to get up to sixth position in the race from ninth on the grid and was a happy man.
”I am pleased with this race. The car was really good, I was able to keep up with the guys ahead of me and take advantage of when they started to hit each other,” said ”Flash”.

The next STCC race takes place at Knutstorp in two weeks.
