Colin Turkington scored his second podium finish in two race weekends by finishing third in the second STCC race at Knutstorp. The Flash Engineering driver has moved up to second in the championship, just ten points from the lead.
”We have collected good results this weekend and the thing that I really am pleased with is how the car works, it is completely fantastic,” said Turkington.

Double STCC champion Jan ”Flash” Nilsson gained three positions and finished seventh from tenth on the grid.
”I was unfortunately struck by technical problems again this weekend, just as in the premiere. But I am still rather pleased with tenth and seventh, we have got the technical problems under control and I am hoping to fight in the top at Mantorp,” said ”Flash”.

Turkington was initially second in the race after a strong start. Johan Stureson managed to get past towards the end of the race, but Turkington was nonetheless pleased.
”It is a long championship and it is all about scoring solid points at the start of the season. I am pleased with these two races and I hope to be able to take my first victory at Mantorp,” said Turkington.

Turkington is second in the championship after four races of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship 2011, team mate ”Flash” is twelfth. Flash Engineering is third in the team championship, just two points from second.
”We have got a good start of the season. Turkington has adjusted remarkably well to the Scandinavian tracks and when we get the technical problems sorted for ”Flash”, things are looking really good,” said team principal Johan Kvick.

STCC resumes at Mantorp Park in two weeks.
