Jan ”Flash” Nilsson, eighth, and Colin Turkington, tenth, scored points in a chaotic rain race at Gothenburg City Race Arena.
”One of the first ever wet races I have done with the BMW and it was a challenge. With the conditions we had ahead of the race, I must say that I am rather pleased with eighth and four points,” said ”Flash”.

Turkington started eleventh and finished tenth, a position that gave him one point for the championship.
”The track was really slippery in the wet and I had some problems with understeer. It was a bit of a gamble with the setup as we’ve never driven in the wet here before,” said Turkington.

The Flash Engineering duo dropped from a shared fifth in the drivers championship to seventh for ”Flash” and eighth for Turkington.
”We are not pleased with the results from this weekend. The track is tricky to get the setup right on. But there is nothing else to do but to reload for the next race,” said Turkington.

Next race takes place at Falkenberg, a track that ”Flash” is the most victorious driver on of the STCC drivers.
”Falkenberg is my favorite, no doubt. We are going to re-charge our batteries and aim for a double podium finish there,” said ”Flash”.
