Colin Turkington and Jan ”Flash” Nilsson turned around the problematic qualifying session to a strong first race in Falkenberg. Turkington climbed from eighth to fourth over the line.
”It was a really good race for me! The car was fast from lap one until the end,” said Turkington.

Team mate Jan ”Flash” Nilsson gained even more position and crossed the line as eighth from 15th on the grid.
”The car was good in the first half of the race, but then it started to oversteer a lot and I had to really work in the corners. It was a tough race and incredibly hot with 65 degrees in the car,” said ”Flash”.

Turkington was just four tenths behind third placed Rickard Rydell over the finish line.
”I had a bit more pace than Rickard, but I was unfortunately stronger on the wrong parts on the track compared to him, so I couldn’t really challenge him. But the car is really good and I am looking forward to the second race,” said Turkington.

Eighth for ”Flash” means pole position for the second race of the day at Falkenberg.
”We have a strong starting position, but we h ave got some work to do on the car to get it faster. If we can get it to perform strongly at the end of the race, we could be in for a podium,” said ”Flash”.

The second race of the day starts at 15.35 CET.
