KTM-star Vesa Kallio took part in the Pro Superbike during the STCC weekend at Karlskoga in cooperation with Flash Engineering.
”It felt good to be at Karlskoga and drive Pro Superbike for KTM Scandinavia and Flash Engineering,” said Kallio.

The Finn finished eighth in the first race and sixth in the second race, this despite his limited experience of the track and the fact that this weekend’s race was one of his first in a couple of months due to a shoulder surgery.
”Overall, things went well this weekend, but the track is narrow, with many sharp corners and that made it difficult for me to find the right settings for the bike,” said Kallio.

Kallio was on his way to the top five in the second race, but hit a patch of oil and lost important ground.
”We had just about found the right setup for the second race, but I hit some oil, making me lose balance for a moment. I lost some time there which was difficult to regain,” said Kallio.

The Pro Superbike event for Kallio was a first study in the new cooperation between KTM Scandinavia and Flash Engineering. The preliminary plan is for Kallio to return for the season finale at Mantorp Park in September.
”I hope to get more practice next time on the track in order to find the right setup for a strong race weekend,” said Kallio.
