Flash Engineering’s star drivers Colin Turkington and Jan ”Flash” Nilsson hunts new victories ahead of the penultimate STCC round of the year at Knutstorp.
”We had a great qualifying and first race in Denmark, this weekend I am aiming for my first win in Sweden,” said Turkington.

Jan ”Flash” Nilsson had a tough race weekend last time out but says that there is nothing wrong with the speed in the races.
”If you look at the race pace, I’ve been between first and fifth in the past ten races. I am really pleased with that and the plan is to fight for top three this weekend,” said ”Flash”.

With just two race weekends left of the 2011 season, the title chances are slim for the two Flash Engineering drivers. The focus is instead on individual race victories.
”We are realistically not involved in the title fight, even though the mathematical chance still is there. The goal is to score strong results in the two final race weekends and climb as high as possible in the championship,” said Turkington.

There is 50 points available at Knutstorp this weekend and a further 50 at Mantorp Park two weeks later. ”Flash” says that he and team mate Turkington can take advantage of the ongoing title fight.
”They have got everything to lose while we are fighting hard for the remaining victories. Both Knutstorp and Mantorp are strong tracks for us, something we proved in the races earlier this year with Turkington’s second and my victory. The others are not going to get it easy,” said ”Flash”.
