Turkington: ”My quickest lap ever around Knutstorp”

Colin Turkington had his best ever qualifying session at Knutstorp today with seventh on the grid and was fastest BMW driver by more than three tenths.
”It was my quickest lap ever around Knutstorp and we have every reason to be happy, especially as we are fastest BMW by far,” said Turkington.

Team mate Jan ”Flash” Nilsson was not far behind Turkington in Q1, but missed Q2 with 40 thousands of a second.
”We had planned two runs in Q1, but we only got one because of yellow flags. But I think the car was really good, we have a strong race car,” said ”Flash”.

There are only title candidates and their team mates ahead of Turkington on the grid for tomorrow, something the Northern Irishman says can be useful.
”I hope to capitalize of the big fight ahead of me tomorrow, it is going to be tough among them. We’ve had a good day of work and I am looking forward to tomorrow,” said Turkington.
