Colin Turkington climbed to fifth in the championship after a strong second place in the second race at Knutstorp in the south of Sweden.
”It has really been a solid weekend with a lot of points, I am really pleased,” said Turkington.

Team mate Jan ”Flash” Nilsson unfortunately had to retire four laps in to the race because of a broken differential.
”The car was strong, I was on my way up through the field. But the differential broke, most likely due to damage from the first race,” said ”Flash”.

Turkington started third but gained one position in the start and started to hunt leading driver Tommy Rustad. The Flash Engineering driver was just three seconds behind after 19 laps.
”We had really good pace in the car, but Rustad was just that tenth faster. I am pleased overall with the weekend and the points haul,” said Turkington.

The championship continues in two weeks with the final race of the year at Mantorp Park. ”Flash” is seventh in the championship, Turkington fifth on 122 points and Flash Engineering is fourth in the teams’ championship, just eight points from third.
”It has been a mixed weekend for Flash Engineering. It was sad with two retirements for Jan which were out of his control, but great with Colin’s continued success. We are going to be back for Mantorp where Jan won in superior style earlier this year,” said team manager Johan Kvick.
