Colin Turkington secured fifth in the STCC 2011 drivers championship after a strong drive from 12th to sixth in the final race of the season.
”This was one of my best races this year and it feels great to end the season strongly,” said Turkington.

Fifth in the championship means second best BMW driver in STCC 2011 despite the fact that Turkington never before has raced at any of the tracks in Sweden ahead of this season.
”With that in mind, we’ve had a good season. We’ve had some bad luck with crashes, but I am pleased overall with fifth in the championship,” said Turkington.

Jan ”Flash” Nilsson was unfortunately forced to retire from a top ten position after a crash with Michel Nykjaer.
”I had a good race and I was about to get past Nykjaer who already had a penalty for unfair driving in the race. He turned me around and I spun off at 150 km/h. The damage was fortunately limited and it feels great as I’m already in the 2012 season of SRL by TTA with my mind,” said ”Flash”.

Daniel Roos was on his way for a new podium finish in the privateers championship when he made a mistake.
”I was in a strong position when I unfortunately made a mess of it and ended up in the gravel. But as I’ve only done 45 minutes in dry conditions with the car before, I think the result is alright, especially the podium from the first race,” said Roos.

The final of this weekend was the last STCC race ever for Flash Engineering. The team is going to race in the new championship Swedish Racing League by TTA next year. Follow the development during the autumn and winter at www.flashengineering.se and www.ttagroup.se.
